Last week when harvesting our English Lavender, I noticed a couple of plants were yellowing. I immediately took to The Google to research and investigate.
The information was vague.
My daughter overheard me on the phone freakin out about the yellow leaves and when I got off the phone she said, “Mom, just remember there’s no place like home.”
Her comment stuck a cord – she’s right. Although we are working toward something bigger than ourselves, a place for the community to gather and make memories, at the end of the day… this is our home and a place we all find peace in.
After several days of research and talking with the experts, we determined that the amount of rain we have had in the last few weeks was the culprit. Nothing a little pruning and extra care can’t handle.
As we head into September, I am reminded by a wise young lady that home is where the heart is and my heart is on this farm.
Stay tuned as we begin the next phase of finished grading for another 2000+ lavender plants.
